What is Maccabi Tzair ?

Maccabi Tzair is a Jewish youth group that explores Israeli and Jewish themes through weekly games, leadership activities, and team-building experiences. It’s a fun, meaningful way for kids to connect with their Jewish identity and build friendships.

How are groups divided?

Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 8th, 9th, and 10th grades are mixed-gender.

2nd grade through 7th grade are split by gender.

Which Ages/Grades can participate in Maccabi?

Maccabi Tzair is open to kids from Pre-K to 10th grade (ages 4–16) as participants (chanichim).
For 11th–12th grade, teens join as Madrichim (youth leaders).

Is there a Trial option?

We offer a trial program for children in Pre-K through 8th grade. The cost is $90 per child, which covers three consecutive Saturdays. If your child chooses to continue, you will simply need to pay the remaining balance. If not, no worries-just let us know before the fourth Saturday to avoid any additional charges.

For 9th and 10th grade, please contact us directly for full details regarding trial, tuition, and refund policies.

Is there a Sibling Discount?

Yes, we offer a 10% discount per sibling, applied to the lower-priced registration(s) after the first child.

Is Financial

Aid available?

Yes, the JCC offers financial assistance.

How does Arrival/Carpool work?

When you arrive at the JCC, please drive around the lake and follow the carpool loop. Once you're back in the front of the building, our madrichim will be there to open your car door and safely assist your child out of the vehicle.

What are the Program Hours/Dates?

Maccabi Tzair takes place on Saturdays from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.

Are there Special Events during the year?

We have amazing events like Shabbaton Sleepover/Late Night, Universal Trip, Hanukkah Games, Machane (camp weekend), Challah Bake, and more. These are priced separately.
